About Rosemary Hallgarten From jewelry maker to textile artist, award-winning Rosemary Hallgarten?s designs have always celebrated the rich tactile sensuality of her materials. Her collections reflect the wide scope of her global inspiration, from textiles to art, fashion and culture. There is an unmistakable quality of luxury and luminosity to all Rosemary?s creations. Each design reflects her unique blending of ancient craft with a fresh modern sensibility. A second generation artisan, daughter of renowned rug artist Gloria Finn who partnered with artists such as Milton Avery and Gio Ponti to interpret paintings as floor coverings, Rosemary has led an adventurous life, full of travel to exotic locales, beginning with her early life in Beirut and further schooling in London. Since the company was founded, a strong emphasis has been placed on the collaborative effort involved in producing superior quality product. Rosemary has been steadfast in her dedication to the communities of artisans she employs in Peru, Brazil, Nepal and Thailand. It is her vision and the aspiration of the company to maintain social responsibility both with the artisans and their culture. To that end, she has established close relationships with her weavers and is involved in supporting families and numerous foundations. Rosemary?s designs have appeared in leading design and lifestyle magazines and newspapers including Interior Design, House Beautiful, Domino, Met Home, The New York Times, Dwell, and Western Interiors. After moving her company from San Francisco in 2006, Rosemary now resides in Westport, Connecticut with her husband and two young sons.
